MEET US ELLEN ROOSE, M.D., F.A.C.O.G.
Dr. Roose was born Forest City, Iowa, and has lived in Iowa most of her life. After graduating from Forest City High School in 1975, she completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Iowa in 1979. Dr. Roose graduated from the University of Iowa - College of Medicine in 1983.
She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Louis University Hospitals and the University of Illinois at Chicago. She began practice in the Des Moines area in July 1987 and was the founding partner of West Des Moines OB/GYN Associates in July 1988. She became certified through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1989 and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (F.A.C.O.G.).
The October 2008 issue of Des Moines City Magazine named Dr. Roose THE TOP DOC in Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Greater Des Moines community.
Dr. Roose and her husband have one daughter and reside in Urbandale. In her spare time, Dr. Roose enjoys family activities, traveling, camping, golfing, wine tasting, cooking, kick boxing and reading.
