MEET US BEVERLY BELSHEIM, M.D., F.A.C.O.G.
Dr. Belsheim was born in Blue Earth, Minnesota and has lived in Iowa most of her life. After graduating from Blue Earth High School in 1972, she completed her undergraduate degree at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music and taught music in the Cedar Rapids school system until entering medical school. Dr. Belsheim graduated from medical school at the University of Nebraska-Omaha in 1987. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota in 1991. She joined Dr. Roose at West Des Moines OB/GYN Associates following completion of her residency, and became certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology by the American Board of OB/GYN in 1993. Dr. Belsheim is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (F.A.C.O.G.). Dr. Belsheim has served as chair of the OB Department at both Mercy and Lutheran hospitals, taught at DMU and the nurse practitioner program at Drake University. She currently serves on the infection control committee at Mercy Hospital. Dr. Belsheim and her husband have three children and live in West Des Moines.
